Special Edition - Takashimaya

Like other shrines in Japan, Takashimaya remains a stable outlet of Japanese culture. It would be hard to visit Japan and not pay homage to the gods of excess, though tasteful, merchandising.
 Fauchon from Paris still here...
As is Peck from Milan
Since Silver Pallet no longer exists (it was one of the stables when we lived here), it seems to have been replaced by something called Gramercy New York.
This adds the International flair to the high end Japanese foods - from sushi to sweets, tempura to tonkatsu - from the best names around...

And to complete the pantheon, a complete selection of fresh proteins from really good fish mongers  and butchers...
...and the finest of produce your money will by.

As usual, there are a few more photos in the Google Photo album at https://photos.app.goo.gl/B6J8nm1JxBBeepjSA
